Mischievious Monkey.

So it looks like Joe and I are going to have our hands full with our little man.  He is quite the mischievous one.   All day yesterday Atticus kept playing with his feeding tube and ventilator tube.  Being silly grownups we all kept talking about how cute it was and joked about him trying to pull them out.   Well last night about ten o'clock, HE DID!
He pulled out both of his tubes.   Lucky for him and us his nurse and respiratory therapist were both sitting right there and were able to take care of him right away so nothing bad happened.   They were able to get him breathing support and get him back on a machine very quickly (they actually chose not to intubate him but put him back on a CPAP/sleep apnea machine).
Today he has been stable.  He spent the morning and first part of the afternoon on the CPAP machine, but he was starting to struggle a little on it so they have put him on another machine now called an NIPV which gives him more breathing support than a CPAP but less than the ventilator.
Never joke with a baby that's been in the NICU a month.  They are apparently bored and will take your jokes much too seriously.
